Tall, swaying sprays bear starry white flowers tinged with pale pink resembling little butterflies. Long flowering from early summer until mid-fall. Does not need staking but will always be moving, bending, swaying. Excellent cut flower. Loved by butterflies and hummingbirds. Prefers average to moist, well-drained soils in full sun. Good drainage is essential to overwinter successfully. Tolerates heat, humidity and some drought. Prune hard in late spring to encourage bushy, compact growth. Remove spent flowers to improve overall appearance but not necessary for extending bloom time.
