As the series name implies, the beautiful blossoms have a strong, spicy fragrance which is even more noticeable when you cut a few for your fresh bouquets. Some have reported that this variety tends to bloom 2-3 weeks earlier than others in the series.
The blue-green to grey-green leaves are a bit longer than shorter varieties of Dianthus, forming a spiky clump of evergreen foliage in the landscape.
