We do not want to sell you a plant if we are not confident that it will successfully thrive in your space. We want to help you get it right the first time, ensuring there's no need to rip and replace unsuccessful products and waste time and energy doing so. We are so confident in the quality of our plants and the quality of our recommendations that we guarantee our trees and shrubs for one full year.

An Endless Choice of Wire Basket Caliper Trees

We are very proud of our comprehensive selection of wire basket caliper trees. Similar species are organized together and displayed at our centre in Rows A1, A2, A3, and so on, all the way to G2. Check out the vast assortment of pyramidal evergreens in Row B1 or the majestic Red Oak, Pin Oak or White Oak in Row D1.

We also have a great selection of 4-inch caliper maples trees, which are 15 to 20 feet tall in Row C3. Varieties include Autumn Blaze Maple, Red Sunset, October Glory, Autumn Fantasy and Brandywine Maple. We encourage you to stroll our rows of trees to personally choose the tree that will adorn your property for many years.

Timeline of Our Business History

• 1970: In his teens, founder Vic Bellaire planted his first seed to grow an orange tree. Always interested in growing, Vic developed a green thumb and trees became his passion.
• 1988: Vic and Kathy Bellaire, Master Florist, purchased 16.5 acres of farmland. The farm was planted with Blue Spruce, White Spruce and Ash trees.
• 1994: The garden centre opened and started selling wholesale to the landscape trade.
• 1996: The tree farm begins to specialize in large caliper shade trees in wire baskets.
• 1999: Japanese Maple trees become the number one most popular tree/shrub at the garden centre.
• 2015: Rebranding includes new logo and name change to Maidstone Tree Farm & Garden Centre
• 2017: Landscape Ontario Award of Excellence (Display of Deciduous Plant Material)
• 2018: Landscape Ontario Award of Excellence (Website Design)
• 2019: Landscape Ontario Award of Excellence (Display of Caliper Trees & Display of Evergreen Plant Material) — Our specialty!
